![]() ![]() If your child had spine, hip or leg surgery, he or she will need to see the orthopaedic surgeon about one to two weeks after surgery, then again at three and six months post-surgery. It is not uncommon for children with pseudoachondroplasia to have legs that are slightly different lengths, which can affect the way the child walks (gait) in the short-term, and can affect hip function in adulthood.
